Felix Poppelaars is a postdoctoral fellow in the field of innate immunity at the nephrology department of the University Medical Center of Groningen (UMCG). His research focuses on the role of the complement system in chronic kidney diseases and renal replacement therapy (incl. both dialysis and renal transplantation).

Felix Poppelaars graduated with an MD/PhD, at the University Medical Center Groningen, Netherlands. He obtained his PhD in Immunologiy and continued his postgraduate fellowship at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. He combined his postdoc with his work as a resident physician at the Martini Hospital (Groningen, Netherlands).
